Job Description
CAN YOU EARN TSEHAI'S TRUST IN 60 DAYS?
Tsehai Loves Learning is building a caregiving intelligence system that helps caregivers grow so children grow. We are selecting a small cohort of high-potential people who can learn quickly, think carefully, communicate warmly, follow through on self-directed work and take ownership of real learner and family outcomes.
What you can earn here
RESPONSIBILITY | Work on meaningful, real learner and family problems—not internship busywork. This is a paid, two-month internship at 13,000 birr net per month, while building critical, transferable skills through real-world work. |
DEVELOPMENT | Receive specific feedback and earn greater authority as your judgment proves ready. |
CAREER PATH | Intern is an entry bridge, not the destination. Strong performers can earn Child Development Associate and continue through Tsehai’s earned career pathway. |
PEOPLE + AI EXPERIENCE | Learn how human judgment, evidence and technology can work together to improve caregiver and child outcomes at scale. |
Requirements
STRONG PRIORITY PROFILE
We are especially interested in candidates with a degree in Teaching / Education, Social Work, or Early Childhood Education / Development; a cumulative GPA of 3.5/4.0 or equivalent or higher;
- Excellent written communication in both Amharic and English. Functional Amharic typing and editing is a core day-to-day capability and is tested early in selection.
- Strong interest in supporting caregivers and families with young children.
- Willingness to participate in supervised family/community support activities.
- Willingness to test Tsehai trainings, tools and products with real users and turn observations into useful feedback.
What you will learn to do
- Review cleared / de-identified real learner video, audio and written evidence against clear standards.
- Separate what is observable from what is assumed.
- Identify a real Strength and ONE priority build/coaching that can move the learner forward as per Tsehai's standard.
- Choose the right next action, owner and escalation route when something is unclear.
- Type, edit and send clear Amharic coaching responses in Tsehai; check generated drafts before they are sent.
- Communicate with learners, caregivers and families clearly, warmly and professionally in Amharic and English.
- Participate in supervised support activities with families of young children.
- Test Tsehai trainings, tools and products and turn user observations into useful improvement feedback.
- Maintain quality and trust even when the queue is busy.
- Use feedback to improve your next judgment — quickly and visibly.
- Gradually earn greater authority as your evidence proves you are ready.
You may thrive here if you…
INTEGRITY | Tell the truth, protect trust and do the right thing even when nobody is checking. |
INNOVATION | Notice what is not working and look for a better way rather than waiting to be rescued. |
JOYFUL COMMUNICATION | Communicate clearly, warmly and constructively — including in difficult moments. |
EXCELLENCE | Follow through, learn from feedback and reliably turn standards into results. |
We care more about how you think, learn and act than how polished you sound in an interview. You do not need to know Tsehai systems before applying. Academic achievement helps us identify promising candidates, but the job also requires excellent written Amharic and English and functional Amharic typing/editing. Final admission depends primarily on demonstrated judgment, learning ability, values and real-world performance.
Tsehai's Academy may not be the right fit if you want…
- A certificate simply for attending or completing time.
- A role where someone tells you every next action.
- A workplace where mistakes are hidden instead of surfaced, corrected and learned from.
- Speed at the expense of learner trust or quality.
- A promotion based mainly on confidence, seniority or interview performance.
- A selection process where staff repeatedly chase you to finish clear commitments or deadlines.
