Technical Support Engineer – Energy Storage

Job Summary

Transsion Manufacturing is looking for a qualified and experienced Technical Support Engineer – Energy Storage to provide technical support for residential energy storage products, including installation, commissioning, maintenance, troubleshooting, and customer complaint handling. Candidates with solar energy experience are highly preferred. Experience with commercial and industrial (C&I) energy storage systems is an advantage.

Key Responsibilities

• Guide the installation, configuration, commissioning, and acceptance of energy storage systems.

• Conduct inspections, preventive maintenance, fault diagnosis, and component replacement.

• Respond to technical inquiries and customer complaints, providing timely solutions and follow-up.

• Collect alarms, logs, operating data, and site evidence, and escalate complex issues when necessary.

• Provide product operation and basic maintenance training to customers and installers.

• Prepare clear service reports and maintain accurate records of technical issues.

Job Requirements

Qualifications and Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Automation, Renewable Energy, or a related field.

• At least 2 years of experience in technical support, installation, or maintenance of solar energy, inverter, battery, UPS, or energy storage products.

• Experience in solar energy systems is highly preferred. Candidates with relevant solar energy technical experience are encouraged to apply.

• Good knowledge of electrical systems and safety, with the ability to read wiring diagrams and use common diagnostic tools.

• Familiarity with batteries, hybrid inverters, BMS, and communication systems is preferred.

• Experience with residential energy storage is preferred; C&I energy storage experience is an advantage.

• Good working knowledge of English.

• Strong troubleshooting, customer communication, and hands-on technical skills.

• Willingness to travel occasionally to project sites across Ethiopia.
