Key Responsibilities
- Conduct speech, language, and developmental evaluations, prepare reports, recommend interventions, and maintain accurate documentation.
- Design individualized therapy plans, deliver one-on-one or group sessions, monitor progress, and align goals with academic expectations.
- Work with teachers, SEN staff, and leadership, contribute to IEP meetings, and train staff on communication strategies.
- Observe students in varied settings, recommend assistive tools or modifications, and provide early interventions for at-risk learners.
- Keep confidential therapy records, progress notes, and reports; update parents and leadership; ensure SEN compliance.
- Communicate with families, collaborate with external specialists, and participate in workshops to raise awareness.
- Join school events, manage time effectively, meet deadlines, and support Brainwise and LionHeart behavior systems.
Requirements
Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Speech & Language Therapist
(GPA qualification preferred) - Minimum 3 years of relevant experience, preferably in the education or service sector
- Proficiency in software (e.g., Peachtree, QuickBooks) and MS Excel
- Strong knowledge of Special Need Education
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and time management
- Strong ethics, reliability, and a willingness to be part of a collaborative team
