• Reports To: Sales and Marketing Manager

Role Summary

The Senior Sales and Marketing Officer is responsible for directing comprehensive commercial campaigns, driving strategic market expansion, managing high-value key accounts, and supervising sales and marketing personnel for Habesha Steel Mills PLC. Operating from the Head Office (New Bright Tower, 2nd Floor, Addis Ababa) or regional operational territories, the incumbent ensures the achievement of revenue targets, oversees brand positioning for steel products (reinforcement bars) and coordinates promotional activities

Key Role and Responsibilities

• Strategic Sales & Revenue Execution: Formulate and execute comprehensive commercial sales strategies to achieve and exceed quarterly and annual departmental revenue and product tonnage targets.

• Brand Management & Campaigns: Design and coordinate strategic marketing campaigns, manage corporate branding guidelines, and oversee company participation in trade expos and industry events.

• Key Account Management: Build and nurture long-term relationships with key corporate clients, real estate developers, and major distributors while conducting high-level commercial negotiations.

• Market Intelligence: Conduct exhaustive research on steel industry trends, monitor competitor pricing and strategies, and gather advance intelligence on upcoming infrastructure tenders and mega-projects.

• Team Leadership & Supervision: Supervise, mentor, and guide sales officers and field marketing personnel, setting individual KPIs and fostering a high-energy "can-do" culture.

• Technical & Product Liaison: Engage with consulting architects, structural engineers, and institutional buyers to promote Habesha Steel Mills technical standards and product quality.

• Kaizen & 5S Workplace Standards: Champion Kaizen and 5S workplace principles (Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain) across commercial operations and streamline sales administration workflows.

Job Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Sales, Business Administration, Management, Economics, or related fields. (A Master’s Degree or professional certification is a strong advantage).

• Experience: Minimum of 7 to 10 years of progressive professional experience in strategic sales, brand management, key account leadership, or commercial operations, with at least 3 years in a senior supervisory role within manufacturing, steel, construction materials, or heavy industrial sectors.

• Competencies:

• Exceptional high-level negotiation skills and commercial acumen.

• Expert proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Advanced Excel analytics) and CRM platforms.

• Excellent command of English and Amharic (knowledge of additional local languages is highly advantageous).
