Job Description
ANTA is a well-established Ethiopian company with over three decades of dedicated experience in the manufacturing industry. Specializing in medium and heavy-duty vehicle bodies.
Position Title: Senior General Accountant
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Maintain accurate general ledger accounts, prepare journal entries, and perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
Manage month-end and year-end close processes to ensure timely financial reporting.
Prepare, review, and file all statutory tax returns (VAT, Withholding Tax, Payroll Tax, and Income Tax) in full compliance with Ethiopian tax laws.
Monitor accounts payable (A/P) and accounts receivable (A/R), vendor invoicing, and cash flows
Evaluate current accounting workflows and design efficiencies to minimize financial risks and improve productivity.
Interface directly with revenue authorities, banks, and external regulatory bodies.
ERP Proficiency: Deep experience with manufacturing-focused ERP systems
Job Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS
Education: - Graduated with a first degree from recognized university or college in Accounting
Experience: -At least 5 years and above of relevant experience. Experience in a Manufacturing industry is a plus.
