Senior Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Analyst

JR Petroleum PLC is pleased to announce a hiring opportunity for our sister company, Desta Kassie Bulk Fuel Private Transport. We are seeking an exceptional and detail-oriented Senior Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Analyst to join the team. This position is responsible for preparing master financial plans, analyzing budget variances, maintaining rigorous monthly sales and general ledger reconciliations, ensuring full compliance with tax filings, and actively managing corporate debt and loan schedules in accordance with regulatory frameworks (including NBE directives). 

• Develop and consolidate the annual budgeted Income Statement, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow Statement.

• Build and refine dynamic financial models to project long-term cash flow needs, working capital requirements, and profitability metrics.

• Lead the preparation of quarterly interim and full-year formal financial statements in accordance with applicable accounting standards.

• Compile and deliver comprehensive monthly management information packs highlighting actual performance against budgeted targets.

• Conduct thorough variance analysis to identify key cost drivers, revenue fluctuations, and operational bottlenecks, providing actionable recommendations to senior management.

• Prepare, verify, and submit all routine monthly statutory tax declarations, including: Value Added Tax / Turnover Tax on purchases and sales,Withholding Tax declarations,Payroll tax and other applicable statutory withholdings.

• Maintain full compliance with local tax laws, revenue authority mandates and audit requirements to mitigate tax exposures and risks.

• Perform monthly multi-way sales reconciliations comparing manual register/sales logs, Fiscal Cash Register (FS) sales summaries, and revenue General Ledger (GL) accounts.

• Identify, investigate, and resolve any revenue discrepancies between point-of-sale data, operational documentation, and financial ledgers prior to month-end close.

• Track, maintain, and model comprehensive loan amortization schedules across all corporate bank financing and line-of-credit facilities.

• Monitor interest accruals and principal repayment schedules, ensuring timely debt servicing and strict adherence to National Bank of Ethiopia (NBE) directives and foreign exchange/credit regulations.

Job Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field. A Master's degree (MBA, MSc in Finance) or professional certification is highly desirable.

• Experience: Minimum of 8 to 12+ years of relevant experience in financial planning, management reporting, taxation and treasury management.
