Feda Wak PLC (Gold Water & Non-Alcoholic Beverages Factory) wishes to invite qualified applicants for the following vacant position:
Position: Senior Chemist
Work Location: Factory Premises (Burayu Ashewa Meda, Tatek Industrial Zone)

Job Purpose
To supervise and ensure accurate and timely chemical analysis of raw, treated, and finished water, while monitoring and controlling water-treatment processes to maintain consistent product quality. The position is responsible for laboratory operations, chemical testing, water-quality monitoring, and investigation of abnormal test results, documentation, reporting, and supervision of laboratory personnel.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze raw, treated, and finished water for chemical parameters such as pH, TDS, hardness, minerals, and contaminants.
- Monitor chemical quality throughout the water-treatment and bottling processes.
- Supervise chemists, laboratory technicians, testing activities, and daily laboratory operations.
- Monitor and optimize water-treatment processes to maintain consistent product quality.
- Ensure laboratory results and products meet applicable water-quality and regulatory standards.
- Investigate abnormal test results and identify possible sources of chemical contamination.
- Review test results and maintain accurate laboratory records.
- Prepare laboratory and water-quality reports.
- Support audits and quality-management systems.
Requirements
Job Requirements
- Education: Degree
- Field of Study: Applied Chemistry, Industrial Chemistry, Food Science, Chemical Engineering, and related fields.
- Experience: More than 5 years of relevant work experience.
- Age: 20–30 years.
Skills:
Analytical and Laboratory Skills: Proficient in chemical analysis, testing methods, and laboratory instruments.
Quality Control and Assurance: Strong knowledge of quality standards, specifications, and compliance requirements.
Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to identify causes of abnormal results and implement effective corrective actions.
Leadership and Supervision: Ability to lead laboratory staff, assign tasks, and ensure accurate and timely testing.
