Reports To: Finance Manager / Chief Financial Officer
About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial reports, supporting budgeting and forecasting activities, and ensuring compliance with applicable accounting standards, tax regulations, and company policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounting records and general ledgers.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
- Perform account reconciliations and investigate and resolve discrepancies.
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable activities.
- Monitor cash flow, bank transactions, and company expenditures.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
- Prepare and review tax, statutory, and regulatory reports.
- Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation and explanations.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax laws, and internal financial policies.
- Review financial transactions and supporting documents for accuracy and completeness.
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and internal controls.
- Provide financial information and analysis to management to support decision-making.
- Perform other finance and accounting duties as assigned.
Requirements
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 5+ years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in a senior accounting role.
- Professional accounting certification such as ACCA, CPA, or equivalent is an advantage.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and taxation.
- Experience with accounting software/ERP systems.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to meet deadlines and work effectively under pressure.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- High level of integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism.
