### Job Summary

We are looking for a Senior Accountant to oversee accounting operations, financial reporting, tax compliance, reconciliations, and internal controls for our factory operations.

### Key Responsibilities

• Manage GL, AP/AR, and month-end/year-end closing

• Prepare P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow statements

• Perform bank, inventory, inter-division, and account reconciliations

• Ensure timely VAT, withholding, and income tax compliance

• Reconcile payroll and pension contributions

• Monitor budgets and investigate variances

• Maintain fixed asset and depreciation records

• Support manufacturing cost accounting

• Supervise junior accounting staff

• Coordinate external audits

Job Requirements

Requirements

• BA in Accounting, Accounting & Finance, or related field

• 3+ years’ accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing/trading

• Strong knowledge of Ethiopian tax requirements

• Experience with Peachtree/Sage, ERP systems, and advanced Excel

• CPA/ACCA or other professional certification is an advantage

• Strong attention to detail, integrity, and ability to work under pressure

### Key Performance Expectations

• Month-end close within 5 working days

• Timely VAT and withholding tax filings

• Weekly bank reconciliations with minimal outstanding items

• Accurate payroll/pension reconciliation

• Monthly financial statements delivered by the 10th

• Continuous improvement in audit findings
