Position Summary
The Intermediate Salesforce Developer will design, build, integrate, test, deploy, and support secure and scalable Salesforce solutions. The position requires practical experience in Apex, Lightning Web Components, Salesforce Flow, SOQL, APIs, security, testing, source control, and deployment. The successful candidate will collaborate with business analysts, administrators, architects, project managers, quality-assurance teams, and customer stakeholders, while also providing guidance to junior developers.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze business and functional requirements and translate them into Salesforce technical solutions.
- Design and implement scalable Salesforce data models and application configurations.
- Develop record-triggered flows, screen flows, scheduled flows, and reusable subflows.
- Develop Apex classes, triggers, interfaces, services, controllers, and utility components.
- Apply bulkification, governor-limit management, exception handling, and reusable design patterns.
- Develop responsive Lightning Web Components using JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and Salesforce Lightning Design System.
- Design and optimize SOQL and SOSL queries.
- Integrate Salesforce with external applications using REST APIs, SOAP services, Apex callouts, Named Credentials, OAuth, JSON, and XML.
- Support event-driven integrations using Platform Events or Change Data Capture where appropriate.
- Apply Salesforce security controls at the object, field, record, Apex, and integration levels.
- Develop comprehensive unit tests, integration mocks, test-data factories, and regression tests.
- Review code and configuration developed by junior team members.
- Troubleshoot complex functional, performance, security, and integration issues.
- Participate in solution-design reviews, technical estimation, release planning, deployment, and production support.
- Use Git-based source control, Salesforce DX, CI/CD pipelines, and sound release-management practices.
- Prepare solution designs, technical specifications, deployment instructions, and support guides.
- Mentor junior developers and contribute to internal Salesforce standards and knowledge development.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
- Approximately two to five years of software-development experience.
- At least two years of hands-on Salesforce development experience, or equivalent demonstrated capability.
- Demonstrated experience developing Apex, Salesforce Flow, and Lightning Web Components.
- Strong knowledge of object-oriented programming and software-development principles.
- Practical understanding of Salesforce governor limits and order of execution.
- Experience with Salesforce APIs and enterprise-system integration.
- Experience with Git, Salesforce CLI, Visual Studio Code, sandboxes, and deployment processes.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, documentation, and stakeholder-communication skills.

- Experience with MuleSoft, Boomi, Informatica, or another integration platform
- Experience with enterprise-scale Salesforce implementations and production support
- Knowledge of Agentforce, Prompt Builder, Einstein, or Data 360
- Experience mentoring junior developers
