Job Description
Purpose of the Role
The Sales Representative is a field-based, outside seller who prospects, qualifies and converts opportunities across Niyat's product and commercial lines, working in the market with clients rather than from a desk.
The role is engaged on a three-month evaluation contract, designed to build sales capacity quickly at low fixed cost and to identify and retain proven performers. The representative works to KPIs set and monitored by the Sales Supervisor, and strong performers convert to permanent, commission-based roles.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and qualify leads in the market; make first contact; book and attend meetings and demonstrations.
- Move opportunities through the cycle to a signed contract; follow up diligently; support senior sellers on larger deals.
- Run or support product demonstrations; answer first-line client questions; represent Niyat professionally in the field.
- Maintain accurate and current records in the CRM; keep notes and next steps updated.
- Work to the KPIs set by the Sales Supervisor; build product and sales-process knowledge; act on coaching.
Requirements
- Degree/ Diploma in Business, IT, Marketing or a related field.
- Minimum of 1 year of sales experience; recent graduates with strong aptitude will be considered.
- Comfortable with digital communication and basic CRM use; quick to learn product basics.
- Working proficiency in Amharic and English.
- Any exposure to software, product or B2B sales; customer-facing experience.
