Job Purpose
The Sales Personnel is responsible for generating sales revenue by identifying new customers, developing existing customer accounts, promoting the company's products, preparing quotations and offers, following up sales opportunities, closing deals, and maintaining strong customer relationships.
The position is expected to work actively in the field and through telephone, WhatsApp, email and other communication channels to achieve assigned sales targets and contribute to the overall growth and profitability of Earth Core Trading PLC.
Key Responsibilities
A. Sales & Business Development
- Identify and develop new customers and sales opportunities.
- Conduct regular field visits to potential and existing customers.
- Make cold calls, telephone calls, WhatsApp follow-ups and other sales activities.
- Develop and maintain a database of potential and existing customers.
- Introduce and promote company products to target customers.
- Understand customer requirements and recommend suitable products.
- Prepare and submit quotations and commercial offers as authorized.
- Follow up quotations until the customer makes a decision.
- Negotiate with customers within approved company pricing and credit policies.
- Convert leads into actual sales.
- Achieve monthly, quarterly and annual sales targets.
- Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling other company products.
B. Customer Relationship Management
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with customers.
- Regularly communicate with existing customers to identify new requirements.
- Follow up customer complaints and coordinate with the relevant departments for resolution.
- Provide professional after-sales service.
- Encourage repeat purchases and customer referrals.
- Maintain a professional relationship with key customers and decision-makers.
- Monitor customer satisfaction and report important issues to management.
C. Sales Follow-Up & Order Management
- Follow up confirmed orders until delivery is completed.
- Coordinate with procurement, logistics, warehouse and finance teams where required.
- Ensure customers receive accurate information regarding product availability, price, delivery and payment terms.
- Monitor pending quotations, orders and customer commitments.
- Immediately report delays, cancellations or significant customer issues to the Sales Manager.
D. Payment & Collection Follow-Up
- Follow up customer payments according to agreed payment terms.
- Monitor outstanding customer balances together with the Finance Department.
- Remind customers of upcoming and overdue payments.
- Report overdue accounts to the Sales Manager and Finance Department.
- Support the company in reducing overdue receivables.
- Do not promise credit terms, discounts or payment arrangements outside approved company policy.
E. Market & Competitor Intelligence
- Monitor market prices and customer buying trends.
- Collect information about competitors, their products, prices and market activities.
- Identify new products and market opportunities.
- Report changes in customer demand and market conditions.
- Provide management with useful market information for pricing, procurement and product planning.
F. Sales Reporting & CRM
- Maintain accurate customer and sales records.
- Update all leads, opportunities, quotations, orders and follow-ups in the company's CRM/system.
- Prepare daily, weekly and monthly sales activity reports.
- Maintain a sales pipeline showing:
- New leads
- Contacted customers
- Quotations submitted
- Negotiations
- Confirmed orders
- Pending orders
- Lost opportunities
- Provide accurate sales forecasts to management.
- Ensure all customer information is kept confidential and properly recorded.
Daily Sales Activities
The Sales Personnel is expected to maintain consistent daily sales activity, including:
- Prospecting for new customers.
- Calling and contacting potential customers.
- Visiting customers and prospects.
- Following up quotations.
- Following up pending orders.
- Following up payments where applicable.
- Updating CRM/customer records.
- Reporting important customer and market information.
- Planning the next day's sales activities.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Performance will be measured based on agreed monthly and quarterly targets, including:

Important: Sales performance should not be measured only by sales volume. Sales Personnel must also protect the company's profit margin, payment terms and cash flow.
Authority & Limitations
The Sales Personnel shall:
- Follow approved company prices and sales policies.
- Obtain management approval for special discounts.
- Obtain approval before offering unauthorized credit terms.
- Not commit the company to contractual obligations without authorization.
- Not make promises regarding delivery, payment, warranty or product specifications beyond approved company terms.
- Protect company pricing, customer information and commercial information.
Requirements
Required Qualifications
Education
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration, Commerce or a related field is preferred.
- Relevant sales experience may be considered in place of formal education.
Experience
- Minimum 2 years of relevant sales experience preferred.
- Experience in trading, import/distribution, automotive products, industrial products, construction materials or related B2B sales is an advantage.
- Proven ability to achieve sales targets is highly desirable.
