1. Context & Objective

HOPE WALKS INC- Ethiopia Country Office is a registered entity operating under the governance and statutory framework of the Authority for Civil Society Organizations (ACSO). The organization is inviting qualified, licensed, and independent Certified Public Accounting (CPA) firms to submit proposals to conduct the annual financial audit for the fiscal year ending 2026, with an option for multi-year extension based on performance.

1. Scope of Work & Key Requirements

The selected audit firm will execute a comprehensive audit in accordance with International Standards on Auditing (ISA) and ACSO guidelines. Key expectations include:

1. Financial Statement Audit: Independent audit and expression of opinion on financial statements in compliance with IFRS/IPSAS and local statutory standards.
2. Year-End Cut-Off Testing: Execution of thorough cut-off testing to verify that revenues, expenses, grants, and operational commitments near year-end are accurately recorded in the correct accounting period.
3. Representative Management Letter: Delivery of a clear, tailored Management Letter containing actionable control recommendations that reflect current operating realities rather than boilerplate or outdated observations.
4. Mandatory Exit Meeting & Debrief: Mandatory partner-led exit meeting and one-on-one closing debrief with executive leadership and the Audit Committee prior to final sign-off.
5. ACSO Regulatory Compliance: Timely submission and strict adherence to reporting timelines to prevent any breach of the ACSO Audit and Performance Reporting Directive.
