Sky Property Management PLC is looking for a qualified and experienced Project Engineer to join our building construction project team in Addis Ababa.

The successful candidate should have strong practical experience working as a Site Engineer and Project Manager on building construction projects and be capable of managing both the technical and day-to-day project requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate the day-to-day technical and construction activities of the project.

• Supervise site engineers, foremen, subcontractors, and construction workers.

• Review and interpret architectural, structural, MEP, and other construction drawings.

• Ensure construction works are executed according to approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, and project requirements.

• Plan and monitor project activities, manpower, materials, equipment, and resources.

• Coordinate with the client, consultant, subcontractors, suppliers, and project team.

• Monitor project progress against the approved schedule and take corrective action when required.

• Prepare and review work programs, progress reports, material requirements, and site records.

• Ensure proper implementation of quality control and site safety requirements.

• Identify technical and construction problems and coordinate timely solutions.

• Monitor material utilization and minimize wastage.

• Review quantities and support preparation and verification of BOQs, measurements, variations, and payment documents.

• Coordinate inspections, testing, approvals, and handover activities.

• Ensure proper documentation and reporting throughout the project.

• Perform other duties related to the successful completion of the project as assigned by management.

Job Requirements

🎓 Requirements

• BSc Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.

• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in building construction projects.

• Proven experience working as both a Site Engineer and Project Manager.

• Strong knowledge of building construction methods, structural systems, and construction management.

• Good ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, and MEP drawings.

• Good knowledge of MS Project, AutoCAD, and MS Excel.

• Strong leadership, communication, coordination, planning, and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to manage multiple project activities and work effectively under pressure.

• High level of professionalism, responsibility, and commitment to quality and timely project completion.
