Pharmaceutical Store Manager

Employer: Skyline Import and Export PLC

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the pharmaceutical store/warehouse.
  • Ensure proper receipt and inspection of incoming pharmaceutical products.
  • Verify quantities, product names, batch numbers, expiry dates and physical condition of received products.
  • Ensure proper storage conditions for all pharmaceutical products.
  • Maintain appropriate temperature, humidity and other required storage conditions.
  • Implement FEFO (First Expiry, First Out) principles.
  • Maintain accurate records of batch numbers, expiry dates, quantities and locations.
  • Ensure proper segregation of expired, damaged, recalled, returned or quarantined products.
  • Monitor stock levels and provide timely replenishment requirements to management.
  • Coordinate with the Sales, Procurement and Finance teams regarding inventory requirements.
  • Prepare products accurately for customer orders and dispatch.
  • Ensure proper documentation for all stock movements.
  • Conduct regular physical stock counts and reconcile physical stock with system records.
  • Investigate and report stock discrepancies, losses, damages and expiry risks.
  • Monitor slow-moving, non-moving and near-expiry products.
  • Develop and maintain an effective inventory control system.
  • Ensure cleanliness, security, organization and proper utilization of the warehouse.
  • Ensure proper handling of pharmaceutical products during loading, unloading and dispatch.
  • Maintain warehouse records and documentation in an organized and audit-ready manner.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable pharmaceutical regulatory requirements and company SOPs.
  • Prepare regular inventory and warehouse performance reports for management.
  • Immediately report significant stock, quality, safety or regulatory issues to management.
  • Support regulatory inspections and audits.
  • Perform other duties assigned by management.


Requirements

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy with two years experience  or Diploma in Pharmacy with five years relevant experience.
  • Relevant experience in pharmaceutical warehousing, wholesale and  distribution.
  • Good knowledge of pharmaceutical storage and inventory management practices.
  • Knowledge of FEFO, batch/expiry management, quarantine and stock reconciliation.
  • Knowledge of Good Storage Practice (GSP) and Good Distribution Practice (GDP) principles is highly desirable.
  • Good computer skills and experience with inventory/ERP systems.
  • Strong organizational and record-keeping skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • High level of integrity, accountability and discipline.
  • Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
  • Performance will be assessed based on:
  • Inventory accuracy
  • Stock reconciliation performance
  • Reduction of stock losses and discrepancies
  • Control of expired and near-expiry products
  • FEFO compliance
  • Accuracy and timeliness of order fulfillment
  • Proper documentation of stock movements
  • Warehouse organization and cleanliness
  • Compliance with storage conditions
  • Customer order fulfillment performance
  • Regulatory and SOP compliance
  • Timeliness and accuracy of inventory reporting
