Job Overview: We are seeking an experienced Office Engineer
Job Summary / Key Responsibilities The primary responsibility of this position is to coordinate and direct engineering services. This includes reviewing design drawings, working drawings, and technical specifications; preparing and evaluating Method Statements and technical documents; managing Bills of Quantities (BOQ), quantity surveying, construction planning, and work performance monitoring; preparing technical reports; administering Requests for Information (RFI) and technical letters; and evaluating variations and technical changes. Furthermore, it involves providing engineering support to project managers and coordinating technical matters with site engineers, consultants, clients, and other departments.
Requirements
Requirements / Minimum Qualifications:
- Educational Qualification: BSc/BEng degree in Civil Engineering, with work experience specifically in Road/Highway or Construction Engineering.
- Work Experience: Minimum of 6 years of relevant work experience in road/highway construction projects, with at least 3 years of experience as a Senior Office Engineer or in a similar position.
- Technical Knowledge: Good knowledge of road construction working drawings, BOQ/quantity surveying, construction planning, performance monitoring, and technical report preparation.
- Contract Administration: Good knowledge of construction contracts, variations, claims, and particularly FIDIC contract administration.
- Software Proficiency: Excellent proficiency in Civil 3D, AutoCAD, Primavera P6 or MS Project, MS Excel, and MS Word.
- Soft Skills: Excellent leadership, coordination, problem-solving, and communication skills.
