Job Description
Job Title: Motor/Car Driver
Department: Fleet / General Services
Work Location: Goro ICT, Addis Ababa
Primary Route/Destination: Goro ICT – Hayat – Arabsa
Reports To: Fleet Supervisor / General Services Officer
Employment Type: Full-Time
1. Job Purpose
The Motor/Car Driver is responsible for providing safe, reliable, and timely transportation services for employees and authorized passengers between Goro ICT, Hayat, Arabsa, and other locations assigned by the company.
The driver is responsible for the proper operation, cleanliness, safety, and basic care of the assigned vehicle.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
Transport employees and authorized passengers safely between Goro ICT,
Hayat, Arabsa, and other assigned destinations.
Follow the approved daily transportation schedule and route.
Pick up and drop off employees at designated locations on time.
Operate the vehicle carefully and professionally.
Comply with Ethiopian traffic laws and company transportation policies.
Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
Check tires, brakes, lights, engine oil, coolant, fuel, and other basic vehicle conditions.
Keep the vehicle clean, safe, and presentable.
Report any mechanical problem, accident, damage, or abnormal vehicle condition immediately.
Maintain accurate records of daily trips, mileage, fuel consumption, and vehicle issues.
Ensure the vehicle is properly parked and secured when not in use.
Ensure only authorized employees or passengers use the company vehicle.
Maintain professional and respectful communication with employees and passengers.
Protect passenger belongings and company property.
Support vehicle servicing, inspection, registration, and maintenance when required. Report delays, route problems, traffic incidents, or other transportation issues to the supervisor.
Follow management instructions regarding changes to routes, schedules, and destinations.
Perform other related duties assigned by the supervisor.

- Working Schedule
The driver will work according to the company's approved working
schedule and transportation timetable. The driver may be required to
provide additional transportation support when operational requirements
arise.
- Accountability
The Motor/Car Driver is accountable for the safe transportation of
employees, proper use and care of the assigned vehicle, punctuality of
transportation services, compliance with traffic laws, and immediate
reporting of vehicle-related incidents or problems.
Requirements
Qualifications
Valid Ethiopian driving license.
Minimum Grade 10 or Grade 12 education.
Minimum 2 years of professional driving experience.
Experience driving company or employee transportation vehicles is preferred.
Good knowledge of Addis Ababa roads, particularly the Goro, Hayat, and Arabsa areas.
Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Responsible, punctual, honest, and safety-conscious.
Clean driving record is preferred.
