Medical Representative

• Scope / Main Responsibilities:

  • Conduct studies and preparations related to healthcare services and medical tourism operations, and follow up and facilitate legal and administrative procedures with relevant government bodies and healthcare institutions.

  • Provide professional consultation and coordination for pre-medical arrangements, during-treatment processes, and post-treatment follow-up, ensuring the complete management of the medical tourism service process.

  • Study and evaluate the operations and service standards of internationally recognized and certified medical institutions, and provide professional recommendations regarding suitable healthcare facilities and services.

  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of new guidelines issued by the Ministry of Health, Ethiopian healthcare laws and regulations, and international medical tourism standards and regulations.

  • Review clients' medical records and conduct research on suitable international hospitals, healthcare institutions, and available medical treatment options.

  • Ensure patient confidentiality and proper handling of medical information, including awareness of applicable medical privacy requirements such as HIPAA/GDPR.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Medical Sciences (Medical Doctor/MD) or another relevant higher-level healthcare field.

• A valid and renewed professional license in the relevant healthcare profession.

• At least 5 years of relevant professional experience in the medical/healthcare sector, healthcare administration, medical tourism, or consultancy.

• Sufficient knowledge and understanding of medical tourism, healthcare laws, regulations, and policies.

• Strong professional relationships and networking experience with relevant health authorities, healthcare institutions, hospitals, and other stakeholders.

• Strong communication, coordination, research, and consultation skills.

• Ability to work independently on a freelance/contract basis.
