Position: Marketing officer
Duty Station: Addis Ababa

Employment Type: Full-Time

Salary: Negotiation based for commission

Salale Dairy Development PLC invites qualified and experienced candidates to apply for the position of marketing officer.

Major Duties and Responsibilities

• Develop and implement marketing and sales plans for the company's dairy products.

• Identify and develop new customers, distributors, retailers, institutions, hotels, restaurants, supermarkets, and other potential markets.

• Promote the company's dairy products and increase market coverage and sales volume.

• Maintain strong relationships with existing customers and develop new business opportunities.

• Conduct regular market assessments and provide information on customer preferences, competitors, prices, and market trends.

• Collect and report customer feedback regarding product quality, packaging, pricing, and availability.

• Distribute and deliver the dairy products timely in Addis Ababa and its surrounding

• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly marketing and sales reports.

• Meet agreed sales targets and contribute to the overall growth of the company.

Job Requirements

Educational Qualification

• Minimum 2-5 years of relevant experience in Dairy Products Marketing.

Required Experience

• Relevant work experience in marketing and sales of dairy products is mandatory.

• Candidates must have practical experience specifically in dairy product marketing, such as fresh milk, pasteurized milk, yogurt, cheese, butter, or other dairy products.

• Experience in general marketing without dairy product experience will not be considered.

Required Skills and Competencies

• Strong knowledge of dairy product marketing and sales.

• Good communication and negotiation skills.

• Ability to identify customers and develop new markets.

• Strong customer relationship management skills.

• Ability to work independently and achieve sales targets.

• Good report-writing and computer skills.

• Willingness to travel within Addis Ababa and other market areas when required.

• Honest, responsible, energetic, and result-oriented.
