Business Unit Description
The Human Resources function at Kifiya plays a strategic role in enabling organizational scalability, performance excellence, and talent sustainability across all business units. HR partners closely with leadership to translate business strategy into people, structure, capability, and culture solutions.
Position Summary
The Manager, Total Rewards, is responsible for designing, implementing, and continuously improving Kifiya’s compensation, benefits, and rewards frameworks. The role ensures that pay structures, benefit programs, and reward practices are competitive, equitable, compliant, and data-driven.
Key Responsibilities
Compensation Strategy and Governance
- Design, implement, and maintain Kifiya’s salary structures, grading systems, and pay progression frameworks.
- Ensure alignment between compensation practices, job evaluation outcomes, and organizational structure.
- Lead annual salary reviews, adjustments, and market benchmarking exercises.
- Ensure internal equity and consistency across roles, business units, and locations.
Benefits and Total Rewards Management
- Manage employee benefit programs, including medical insurance, life insurance, pension, and fringe benefits.
- Serve as the primary HR liaison with insurance providers, brokers, and benefit administrators.
- Review and optimize benefits offerings to balance employee value, cost efficiency, and risk management.
- Ensure benefit policies are clearly documented, communicated, and consistently applied.
Rewards Analytics and Decision Support
- Own HR rewards data and analytics, providing insights on pay equity, turnover drivers, reward competitiveness, and cost trends.
- Develop dashboards and reports to support leadership decision-making on rewards and retention.
- Analyze exit, turnover, and engagement data to inform targeted reward interventions.
Policy, Compliance and Risk Management
- Ensure compliance with Ethiopian labor laws, tax regulations, and pension requirements related to compensation and benefits.
- Maintain clear reward governance, approval matrices, and documentation standards.
- Identify and mitigate compensation-related risks, including compression, inequity, and affordability concerns.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner closely with HRBPs to support compensation decisions for hiring, promotions, and role changes.
- Work with Finance on payroll cost forecasting, budgeting, and reward affordability analysis.
- Collaborate with HR Operations to ensure accurate payroll inputs, ERP updates, and employee records.

Requirements
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in HR, Finance, Economics or related field (Master’s preferred)
Experience
- 7–12 years experience in compensation, payroll, or HR analytics roles
- Strong analytical and data management skills
- Experience with ERP/HRIS systems required
