Duty Stations: Addis Ababa and Dessie Districts
JOB PURPOSE
The Manager, Business Development and Resource Mobilization is responsible for leading the district’s growth agenda with emphasis on deposit and resource mobilization, customer acquisition, branch sales performance, relationship development, and market expansion. The role ensures that branches and district staff execute structured business development plans, convert quality prospects, deepen key relationships, and support sustainable financing and liability growth in line with the district’s targets.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Develop and implement district business development and resource mobilization plans in line with the Bank’s annual targets and district market potential.
2. Lead structured acquisition efforts targeting individuals, SMEs, corporates, institutions, associations, payroll customers, and other priority customer segments.
3. Drive growth in CASA, term deposits, institutional deposits, payroll accounts, and other liability products through coordinated district sales efforts.
4. Assign targets, monitor branch and officer performance, and ensure timely follow-up on high-potential pipelines and underperforming business areas.
5. Supervise resource mobilization officers and customer relationship officers and ensure field visits, prospecting activity, customer meetings, and conversions are properly executed.
6. Identify anchor relationships and strategic opportunities within the district that can generate deposits, financing leads, transaction flows, and fee income.
7. Support the conversion of qualified customer relationships into sound financing opportunities in coordination with appraisal and district leadership.
8. Lead customer forums, campaigns, local market activations, and district visibility initiatives that support account acquisition and customer growth.
9. Track business performance by branch, product, segment, and staff member and initiate corrective measures where necessary.
10. Prepare district business performance reports, prospect trackers, customer pipeline reports, and branch sales performance updates.

Requirements
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE
- Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Management, Marketing, Economics, Banking and Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. Master’s degree is advantageous.
- Work Experience: Minimum of 6 years of relevant banking experience, with at least 2 years in branch management, sales leadership, business development, or resource mobilization roles. Proven performance in deposit growth and market development is required.
