Logistics manager

Juntu Technology Trading PLC is a growing technology and trading company based in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. We are dedicated to delivering high-quality imported EV cars, equipment, and after-sales services. We are looking for an experienced and results-driven Logistics Manager to oversee, streamline, and optimize our end-to-end supply chain and logistics operations.

Job Summary

The Logistics Manager will be responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating all transportation, warehousing, customs clearance, and distribution activities. You will work closely with internal teams, international suppliers, shipping lines, and local authorities to ensure timely delivery of imported EV cars and naccessary products while maintaining cost efficiency and full regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Supply Chain & Operations Management: Plan and oversee daily logistics operations, including inventory control, freight management, warehousing, and local distribution.
• Customs & Import/Export Handling: Manage customs documentation, import/export procedures, tax/duty calculations, and coordinate with Ethiopian customs authorities and clearing agents to ensure smooth cargo clearance.
• Vendor & Carrier Coordination: Build and maintain strong relationships with shipping lines, freight forwarders, local transporters, and third-party logistics (3PL) providers to negotiate competitive rates and service terms.
• Inventory Control & Warehousing: Monitor inventory levels across warehouses to prevent stockouts or overstocking; implement effective warehouse storage and safety procedures.
• Cost Optimization & Budgeting: Develop and manage logistics budgets, analyze supply chain data/KPIs, and implement strategies to minimize shipping, storage, and transit costs.
• Compliance & Quality Assurance: Ensure all shipments comply with Ethiopian commercial laws, customs regulations, safety standards, and company policies.
• Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor the logistics and operations staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.

Job Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Procurement, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum of 3–5 years of proven experience as a Logistics Manager, Supply Chain Supervisor, or similar role (experience in technology trading or import/export in Ethiopia is highly preferred).
• Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of Ethiopian customs procedures, import/export regulations, shipping logistics (Incoterms), and warehouse management practices.
• Software Skills: Proficiency with ERP/Logistics software (WMS/TMS) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).
• Key Competencies: Strong negotiation, leadership, analytical problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Languages: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both Amharic and English.
