JOB DESCRIPTION

Amigos SACCO Ltd., a dynamic SACCO on track to become a Top 10 Asset-Leading SACCO in Africa by 2030, seeks a detail-oriented Loan Officer to manage lending operations; conduct credit analysis, assess loan applications, guide members through the borrowing process, and ensure timely disbursement and repayment while maintaining portfolio quality.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Oversee loan applications from verification to disbursement with flawless documentation and appraisal

• Conduct financial analysis, character assessment, and capacity evaluations to ensure asset quality

• Prepare structured loan files with objective analysis and technical recommendations

• Minimize loan processing turnaround time to rebuild member confidence

• Partner with Collection & Risk Officer on credit handovers, early warnings, and risk mitigation

• Maintain exhaustive knowledge of all credit products, policies, and regulations

Job Requirements

REQUIRED QUALIFICATION

Educational and Work Experience:           

• Bachelor's Degree in Cooperative Business Management, Economics, Accounting, Management, or related fields.

• 2 to 3 years of experience in credit analysis, lending operations or customer credit management.
