Basic Function of the Position

The Junior Procurement Officer supports the procurement unit in sourcing goods and services, processing purchase orders, maintaining procurement documentation, and ensuring the timely delivery of supplies in compliance with company policies.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Prepare RFQs (Request for Quotations) and collect quotations.

• Perform vendor comparison and price analysis.

• Prepare purchase orders under supervision.

• Track order status and follow up with suppliers.

• Maintain procurement records and filing systems.

• Coordinate with finance for payment processing and documentation.

• Update supplier database and price lists.

• Coordinate with the warehouse for delivery verification.

• Prepare procurement reports.

• Support contract documentation and renewal tracking.

• Ensure compliance with procurement procedures.

• Coordinate during audits by preparing required documentation.

• Other duties as assigned by Washington Healthcare PLC.

Job Requirements

Minimum Qualifications Required

Education

• Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business Administration, Logistics, Computer Science, or any recognized Health-related field, or an equivalent qualification.

Prior Work Experience

• Minimum 0–2 years of relevant experience in procurement, preferably in healthcare or regulated industries.

Job Knowledge

• Knowledge of procurement principles and best practices.

• Understanding of vendor evaluation and documentation.

• Knowledge of inventory and supply chain fundamentals.

Skills and Abilities

• Good negotiation and communication skills.

• Strong attention to detail.

• Ability to coordinate with multiple stakeholders.

• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).

• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
