Junior Procurement Officer

About the Job

Purpose of the Job: To provide assistance in procurement operations to deliver efficient, timely and quality procured goods and services for the Bank.

Generic Functions:

• Provide the required assistance in all activities of the work unit

• Properly maintain important files/records and avail when required

• Engage in teamwork, collaboration, and transparency work practices

• Adhere to internal control system and risk management program of the Bank

• Provide the concerned organ with timely, relevant, accurate, and complete reports on the plan performance

• Demonstrate the Bank’s code of conduct; employ the Bank’s good culture and corporate image to the public

• Provide services as per the service level agreement

• Contribute to the Bank’s profitability as per the target set

Specific Functions:

• Collet Performa invoices from suppliers in accordance with the purchase procedures of the bank

• Collect material specification from user departments, and gets assistance from IT Department when the goods are electronics

• Assist market assessment studies before conducting procurement

• Carry out direct purchases when approved

• Deliver on time purchased items to the store against proper documents;

• Maintain complete purchase related documentation

• Prepare payment documents and submit for payment

• Lodge claims to suppliers and follow up for settlement of defective items and shortages

• Settles as soon as possible all advance payments made to the purchase of supplies and other items

• keep records of supplier database and maintain files of current market prices for commonly bought items

About You

Qualification: BA in Purchasing, Logistics and Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or any other related fields.

Experience: One/1 year of relevant experience preferably in Banking industry.
