- Job Summary
The Junior HR & GS (Human Resources & General Services) Officer is responsible for managing the headquarters' human capital and overseeing the essential administrative services that keep the office and plant operations running smoothly. This dual-capacity role involves executing the full talent lifecycle— from recruitment to separation—while simultaneously managing company assets, fleet logistics, and facility maintenance. The officer ensures a productive work environment and full compliance with Ethiopian labor and administrative regulations.
- Key Responsibilities
2.1 Human Resources Management:
❖ Assist Recruitment & Selection: Coordinate the end-to-end recruitment process, including job postings, screening, and interviewing for both HQ and plant-level staff.
❖ Onboarding & Training: Conduct induction programs for new hires and coordinate specialized training (e.g., cupping certifications for quality staff or safety training for plant workers).
❖ Assist in Performance Management: Administer the annual performance appraisal system and assist managers in documenting and tracking employee KPIs.
❖ Payroll & Benefits: Prepare monthly payroll data, including deductions for pension and taxes, and manage employee benefit programs (e.g., insurance).
❖ Labor Relations: Ensure all HR practices align with the Ethiopian Labor Proclamation; maintain organized personnel files and handle disciplinary matters or grievances.
2.2 General Services & Administration:
❖ Fleet & Logistics Management: Oversee the scheduling, maintenance, and fuel tracking for company vehicles involved in coffee transport and executive travel.
❖ Facility Maintenance: Coordinate repairs, cleaning services, and utility management for the HQ office and provide administrative support for the Dukem plant. Page 177 of 197 CN Business Units’ Jobs and Job Descriptions
❖ Procurement of Office Supplies: Manage the purchase and distribution of stationery, kitchen supplies, and office equipment.
❖ Asset Management: Maintain the company’s Master Asset Register, ensuring all equipment is tagged, tracked, and properly insured.
❖ Travel & Liaison: Handle flight bookings, visa processing for international buyers, and liaison with government offices for trade permits or administrative renewals.
Requirements

❖ Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Law, or a related field.
❖ Experience: 1–3 years of professional experience in HR and General Services, law, preferably within the manufacturing or export sector in Ethiopia.
❖ Knowledge: Deep understanding of the Ethiopian Labor Proclamation and current trends in administrative management.
❖ Technical Skills: Proficiency in HR Information Systems (HRIS), Microsoft Office Suite (advanced Excel), and fleet management tracking tools.
