Job Description
Vacancy Announcement – Junior Accountant (Female)
PANA DM Trading PLC is seeking to recruit a qualified Female junior Accountant to join our Finance Department.
Duty Station: Tulefa, Bulga
Preference: Applicants residing in or around Hayat, Tafo, CMC, Figa, or nearby areas are highly encouraged to apply due to the job location.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate accounting records using Peachtree (Sage 50).
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Perform bank, supplier, customer, and general ledger reconciliations.
- Supervise accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and fixed assets.
- Ensure accurate inventory and cost accounting.
- Prepare and submit VAT, Withholding Tax, Payroll Tax, Pension, and other statutory returns through the ERCA/eTax system.
- Ensure full compliance with Ethiopian tax laws and accounting standards.
- Support budgeting, cash flow management, and financial analysis.
- Coordinate internal and external audits.
- Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff.
Preference will be given to female candidates residing around Hayat, Tafo, 72 and surrounding area and nearby areas to ensure convenient commuting.
Requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum 0- 2 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing or trading company.
- Strong practical knowledge of Peachtree (Sage 50).
- Hands-on experience with ERCA/eTax filing, including VAT, withholding tax, payroll tax, and other statutory tax submissions.
- Strong knowledge of Ethiopian tax laws and financial reporting.
- Excellent Microsoft Excel skills.
- Strong analytical, communication, and leadership abilities.
