Job Description
Job summary:
The IT Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, configuring, maintaining, monitoring, and troubleshooting an organization’s IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, storage, virtualization, systems, and related infrastructure services. The position ensures the availability, performance, security, and reliability of IT infrastructure and provides technical support for projects and customers.
Responsibilities:
- Design and implement reliable and scalable IT infrastructure solutions.
- Configure and maintain servers, storage systems, virtualization platforms, and network infrastructure (LAN, WAN, VLAN, VPN, routing, and switching environments).
- Implement data center infrastructure according to technical and customer requirements.
- Support infrastructure migration, upgrades, expansion, and optimization projects.
- Deploy and manage virtualization platforms such as VMware, Hyper-V, or equivalent technologies.
- Support firewall, endpoint security, backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity solutions.
- Participate in site surveys, technical assessments, and solution design.
- Support the Presales team with technical proposals, solution design, BoQ preparation, and technical documentation.
- Plan and coordinate installation, configuration, testing, commissioning, and handover of IT projects.
- Ensure proper documentation of configurations, network diagrams, installation reports, test results, and handover documents.
- Monitor project schedules, deliverables, resources, and technical quality.
- Conduct system testing and quality assurance before project handover.
- Willing to travel and able to work in field projects.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- 2–5 years of relevant experience in IT infrastructure, systems administration, networking, or data center environments.
- Strong knowledge of server, networking, storage, and virtualization technologies (VMware or Microsoft Hyper-V).
- Knowledge of network protocols, TCP/IP, VLAN, DNS, DHCP, VPN, and routing.
- Good understanding of backup, disaster recovery, and infrastructure security.
