Procurement of Inputs for Communal Drying Facilities (Plastic Square Mesh & Protective Plastic Sheets)

- Introduction
HRNS-Ethiopia (HANNS R. NEUMANN STIFTUNG), through its Integrated Coffee Project (ICP), invites qualified and experienced suppliers to submit bids for the supply and delivery of high-quality agricultural drying materials. This procurement aims to support the development of communal drying and storage facilities for eight (8) target coffee cooperatives in the Amhara region.
This initiative is critical for strengthening collective post-harvest management, enhancing cooperatives' market competitiveness with premium-quality coffee, and empowering smallholder farmers to adopt sustainable practices that secure income and improve livelihoods.
About the Organization & Project
HRNS-Ethiopia is an international non-governmental organization implementing sustainable development programs. The ICP Project, managed by the Bahir Dar Field Office, builds on previous initiatives to enhance the capacity of coffee cooperatives and the Amhara Coffee Farmers' Cooperative Union to improve coffee quality, competitiveness, and long-term sustainability.
Objective of the Assignment
The objective of this assignment is to select a qualified supplier capable of providing high-quality drying materials that strictly meet the technical specifications outlined below. The selected supplier must ensure competitive pricing and timely delivery of all items to the HRNS-Ethiopia Bahir Dar Field Office to meet the upcoming harvest season.
Scope of Work & Technical Specifications
The selected supplier will be responsible for the supply and delivery of the following items. All materials must be delivered to the HRNS-Ethiopia Bahir Dar Field Office at the address provided in Section 6. All materials must comply precisely with the stated specifications.

Note on Samples:
During the procurement process, suppliers are required to provide a physical sample of the proposed materials (minimum 1m x 1m of each item) for technical evaluation alongside their price quotation.
Requirements
Submission Requirements
Interested and qualified suppliers are invited to submit one technical proposal and one financial proposal in separate sealed envelopes, clearly marked "Technical Proposal – Drying Materials (IFB No. HRNS-ETH/PRC/ICP/2026/05)" and "Financial Proposal – Drying Materials (IFB No. HRNS-ETH/PRC/ICP/2026/05)," respectively. Proposals must include:
- Company Profile detailing organizational structure, years in operation, areas of specialization, and copies of relevant trade licenses, TIN/VAT registration certificates.
- Relevant Experience with a proven track record in supplying similar agricultural or industrial materials to NGOs, development partners, or corporate clients, including at least two verifiable references (contracts or completion certificates).
- Copy of Renewed Professional License and business registration certificate valid for the current Ethiopian fiscal year.
- Technical Proposal describing the company's capacity to supply the materials, including:
- A description of the product's compliance with the specifications (e.g., manufacturing standards, quality control processes).
- Proposed delivery timeline and logistics plan to transport the goods to the Bahir Dar Field Office.
- Financial Proposal providing a detailed, itemized price quotation for the supply and delivery of the materials, including:
- Unit price per m² for each item.
- Total price per item.
- Total overall price
- Delivery charges to Bahir Dar (if not included in the unit price).
- All applicable taxes (VAT, withholding tax, etc.) must be clearly stated and itemized.
- 2% CPO By The Name Of HRNS-Ethiopia
- Signed Statement confirming acceptance of the general terms and conditions of the bid.
