Job Description
Investment Associate
Role Summary
Responsible for overseeing financial monitoring and reporting of minority shareholding investments. It will also play a key role in the development of new investment projects. The role ensures accurate financial analysis, compliance with accounting standards, and timely reporting, while identifying potential financial, liquidity, and covenant risks to support informed decision-making.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Support investment decisions through financial modeling, analysis, and preparation of investment materials.
- Support project structuring, execution, and exit planning in coordination with internal and external stakeholders.
- Oversee financial reporting and performance monitoring of minority shareholding investments.
- Review consolidated investee financial statements and ensure accurate recording of dividends, impairments, and fair value adjustments.
- Prepare minority portfolio reports and conduct variance analysis against budgets and forecasts.
- Establish and maintain financial controls and ensure compliance with IFRS and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate audits and support tax compliance related to portfolio investments.
- Monitor investment performance and analyze key financial and operational KPIs.
- Engage with investee management and assess capital structure, liquidity, and funding needs.
- Identify risks and performance gaps, recommending strategic interventions and value creation initiatives.
- Develop portfolio analytics, dashboards, and contribute to capital allocation and thematic investment strategies.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management and direct supervisor.
Requirements
Qualifications and Skills
Minimum Required Educational Qualification
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Investment, Business Administration, or a related field
- Master's Degree in Finance, Investment, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field an added advantage
Minimum Required Work Experience and Skills
- Minimum of 5-8 years of relevant professional experience in investment analysis, corporate finance, financial analysis, portfolio management, transaction advisory or a related field.
- Strong financial modeling, valuation, and financial analysis skills.
- Good understanding of IFRS and financial reporting principles.
- Experience in analyzing financial statements, budgets, forecasts, and investment performance.
- Knowledge of investment structuring, due diligence, and transaction execution.
- Knowledge of investment risk assessment, capital structure, liquidity, and covenant analysis.

- Investment Project Execution: Understanding of transaction structuring, due diligence, execution, and exit planning.
