Compensation & Benefits
- Basic Salary: ETB 75,000
- Housing Allowance (HA): ETB 11,000

About the Opportunity
A leading organization in the manufacturing and industrial sector is seeking an experienced and strategic Head of Procurement & Supply Chain Management to lead and optimize its end-to-end procurement, logistics, inventory, and supply chain operations. This is a senior leadership role responsible for driving cost efficiency, supplier performance, operational excellence, and supply chain resilience across the business.
The successful candidate will work closely with executive leadership to develop procurement strategies, strengthen supplier partnerships, improve inventory and logistics performance, and build a high-performing procurement and supply chain function.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute procurement and supply chain strategies aligned with business objectives.
- Lead sourcing, supplier selection, contract negotiation, and vendor relationship management.
- Oversee logistics, transportation, warehousing, and distribution operations to ensure efficiency and cost optimization.
- Implement inventory control systems that improve availability while minimizing excess stock and working capital.
- Ensure compliance with procurement regulations, customs requirements, and internal governance standards.
- Identify and mitigate supply chain risks through proactive planning and supplier management.
- Prepare and manage procurement and logistics budgets and deliver measurable cost-saving initiatives.
- Lead, mentor, and develop procurement, logistics, and warehouse teams.
- Collaborate with Finance, Operations, and Production to align procurement and supply chain plans with operational requirements.
- Drive process improvement initiatives, including ERP, procurement, and warehouse management system optimization.
- Monitor procurement and logistics KPIs and use data-driven insights to improve performance and decision-making.
Requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Logistics, Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field.
- Master’s degree (MBA or related) is an advantage.
- Minimum 8 years of progressive experience in procurement, supply chain, logistics, or operations management.
- At least 3–5 years in a senior leadership or managerial role.
- Experience in manufacturing, construction materials, industrial production, or large-scale operations is highly preferred.
- Professional certifications such as CSCP, CPSM, CPIM, or equivalent are an advantage.
