Career Opportunities
A diversified Ethiopian business group operating in agriculture, seedling production, manufacturing, real estate, hospitality, electric mobility, bottled water, and retail is establishing a centralized Group Marketing, Communications & Digital Media Department.
We are looking for talented, energetic, creative and business-minded professionals to join the new department.
The department will support multiple businesses and brands and will be responsible for strengthening brand visibility, customer engagement, digital communication and sales-oriented marketing.
Job Purpose
To lead the Group Marketing, Communications & Digital Media Department and develop effective marketing strategies for the different businesses under the group.
The successful candidate must understand that marketing is not only about social-media activity. The position requires a strong understanding of branding, customers, sales, business development and measurable commercial results.
Major Responsibilities
- Develop the overall group marketing and communication strategy.
- Develop appropriate marketing plans for each business and brand.
- Lead and supervise the marketing team.
- Prepare monthly and annual marketing plans.
- Coordinate marketing campaigns across different businesses.
- Manage social-media, digital advertising and brand-development activities.
- Work closely with company managers and sales teams.
- Develop campaigns that generate customer inquiries, leads and sales.
- Ensure consistent and professional branding.
- Coordinate photography, video, graphic-design and promotional activities.
- Manage the marketing budget and monitor advertising expenditure.
- Monitor competitors and market trends.
- Establish clear marketing KPIs.
- Prepare a concise monthly performance report for management.
- Support new product and business launches.
- Manage external advertising, media and creative-service providers when required.
Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone who is creative but also commercially minded, organized, proactive and capable of building a professional marketing department from the ground up.
Location
- Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, with occasional travel to company operations and project locations.
Employment Type
- Full-time.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or above in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications or a related field.
- Strong professional experience in marketing, branding, digital marketing or business development.
- Previous experience managing a marketing team is preferred.
- Strong understanding of digital platforms and advertising.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage several brands and projects simultaneously.
- Commercial and sales-oriented mindset.
- Strong leadership, organizational and analytical skills.
- Excellent command of English and Amharic.
