Job Summary
The Hardware Support Engineer I will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and support of computer hardware, office machines, and related IT equipment across the head office, district offices, and branches.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot computers, laptops, printers, scanners, photocopiers, UPS systems, and other IT equipment.
- Diagnose hardware and operating system problems and perform necessary repairs, upgrades, and component replacements.
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance to minimize equipment downtime.
- Provide technical support to users and resolve hardware-related incidents in a timely manner.
- Support the deployment, relocation, and setup of IT equipment at branches and offices.
- Maintain accurate IT asset, equipment, warranty, and maintenance records.
- Coordinate with vendors and service providers for repairs, warranty claims, and technical support.
- Assist in hardware procurement specifications and equipment inspection.
- Prepare maintenance and hardware-related technical reports.
- Perform other duties assigned by the immediate supervisor.
Requirements
Qualification
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering, or a related field.
Experience
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in hardware support, IT technical support, computer maintenance, or office machine maintenance.
- Minimum of 1-2 year of experience as Hardware Support Engineer I or in an equivalent role.
Required Skills
- Strong computer hardware troubleshooting and repair skills.
- Knowledge of Windows installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
- Practical experience with printers, photocopiers, scanners, and other office machines.
- Knowledge of hardware components, diagnostics, upgrading, and preventive maintenance.
- Good problem solving, communication, teamwork, and customer-service skills.
- Ability to provide support across multiple offices and branch locations.
Preferred Certifications
- CompTIA A+ or other equivalent international hardware certification.
- Training Certificate (Computer, Printer, Photocopier, Scanner, and other Office Equipment Maintenance).
