Fixed Asset & Property Senior Accountant

Daye Bensa Business PLC, a leading player in the coffee export and diversified business sector, is seeking highly motivated and experienced senior accountant to join our team for the following position.

Position: Fixed Asset & Property Senior Accountant

Reports To: Head of Finance Operations

Required no: 1

Main Responsibility: Fixed assets tracking, depreciation management, capital projects (CAPEX), physical asset verification, periodic insurance administration, and monthly prepayment allocations.

• Key Responsibilities:
• • Maintain and update the Fixed Asset Register (FAR).
  • Calculate and post monthly depreciation, amortization, and asset impairment entries.
  • Manage asset capitalization, derecognition, and disposal workflows.
  • Review CAPEX expenditures and capital project budgets.
  • Follow up fixed asset insurance policies periodically, managing renewals, valuation updates, and claims processing.
  • Allocate prepayments and deferred expenses on a monthly basis.
  • Conduct annual physical asset verifications and reconcile inventory tags to ledgers.
  • Ensure strict compliance with IAS 16 (Property, Plant & Equipment) and IFRS standards.
