Kuriftu Resort & Spa – Lake Tana, a member of Boston Partners PLC, is committed to delivering exceptional hospitality experiences through quality service, operational excellence, and sustainable business practices. We are seeking a highly qualified and results-oriented Finance Manager to oversee the resort’s financial operations and ensure sound financial management in line with company policies and strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, organize, and manage all financial and accounting activities of the resort.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
- Develop and monitor annual budgets, forecasts, and cash flow projections.
- Ensure accurate recording of financial transactions in compliance with accounting standards.
- Monitor revenue, expenses, and profitability, and provide financial analysis to management.
- Maintain effective internal controls and ensure compliance with company policies and applicable tax regulations.
- Supervise accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger functions.
- Coordinate month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Liaise with auditors, tax authorities, banks, and other regulatory bodies.
- Ensure timely preparation and submission of statutory reports and tax filings.
- Monitor inventory and asset management to safeguard company resources.
- Support management with financial planning, business analysis, and strategic decision-making.
- Lead, coach, and develop the finance team to achieve departmental objectives
Requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Professional certification in IFRS or an equivalent qualification is an added advantage.
Experience
- Minimum of five (5) years of relevant finance and accounting experience, with at least two (2) years in a managerial or supervisory role.
- Previous experience in the hospitality, hotel, resort, or service industry is highly desirable.
Required Competencies
- Strong knowledge of financial management, budgeting, and financial reporting.
- Excellent understanding of Ethiopian tax laws and financial regulations.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Microsoft Excel, and accounting software.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
