Job Description

Job Purpose :-The Equipment and Plants Administration Officer is responsible for overseeing the management, maintenance, and optimization of the organization’s equipment and plant assets. This role ensures that all equipment and plant operations are conducted efficiently, safely, and in compliance with relevant regulations and standards.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

Maintenance Planning and Execution:
- Develop and implement preventive and corrective maintenance schedules for equipment and plant facilities.
- Perform regular inspections, diagnostics, and repairs to ensure optimal performance and safety.
- Coordinate with maintenance teams or contractors for specialized repairs and services.

Equipment and Plant Management:
- Monitor and maintain all equipment and plant machinery, ensuring they operate efficiently and reliably.
- Address any mechanical or operational issues promptly to minimize downtime and production disruptions.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including repairs, inspections, and replacements.

Safety and Compliance:
- Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety regulations and industry standards.
- Implement and enforce safety protocols and procedures to protect staff and equipment.
- Conduct safety training and awareness programs related to equipment and plant maintenance.
Inventory and Resource Management:
- Manage inventory of maintenance supplies, spare parts, and tools.
- Ensure adequate stock levels to support maintenance activities and minimize equipment downtime.
- Track and report on resource usage and expenditures related to maintenance operations.
Troubleshooting and Problem Solving:
- Identify and diagnose equipment and plant issues using technical knowledge and diagnostic tools.
- Develop and implement solutions to resolve problems and prevent recurrence.
- Collaborate with other departments to address and resolve operational challenges.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, including work orders, equipment history, and performance data.
- Prepare and present regular reports on maintenance activities, equipment status, and performance metrics.
- Analyze maintenance data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
Team Coordination and Support:
- Supervise and provide guidance to maintenance staff or contractors.

Foster a collaborative work environment and ensure effective communication within the maintenance team.
Provide training and support to staff on maintenance procedures and best practices.
Continuous Improvement:
- Evaluate and recommend improvements to maintenance processes and procedures.
- Stay updated on industry trends, new technologies, and best practices to enhance maintenance effectiveness.
- Implement innovative solutions to improve equipment reliability and plant efficiency.

Requirements

Qualification and Skills:-

Education:

Degree/Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Technology or Related field.

Experience :-

Minimum of 6 years of experience in equipment management, preferably in the construction industry. (Bsc Degree)
