Position Title: Electrical Engineer (Contract Basis)
Location: Addis Ababa
Employment Type: Contract
Experience: Minimum of 10 Years
We are seeking a qualified Electrical Engineer to join our team on a contract basis. The qualified candidate will be responsible for electrical design, site supervision, inspection, coordination, and technical support, while ensuring compliance with project specifications, applicable standards, and professional requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare, review, and coordinate electrical designs, drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
- Supervise and inspect electrical installation works to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and applicable standards.
- Monitor the quality, progress, and workmanship of electrical works at the project site.
- Review electrical shop drawings, material submittals, method statements, and technical submissions.
- Coordinate electrical works with architectural, structural, mechanical, sanitary, and other disciplines.
- Identify technical problems and recommend appropriate corrective and preventive measures.
- Ensure compliance with relevant electrical codes, standards, safety requirements, and project specifications.
- Monitor the proper installation and testing of electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, grounding, and related systems.
- Perform other electrical engineering duties assigned by the supervisor.
Requirements
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor is Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of relevant professional experience, preferably in building construction and engineering consultancy projects.
- Good knowledge of relevant electrical codes, standards, specifications, and safety requirements.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and other relevant electrical engineering/design software. etc
