Credit /Receivable Manager – JOB VACANCY
Position: Credit/Receivable Manager
Department: Finance
Location: Addis Ababa, Ethiopia
Key Responsibilities
Manage and monitor the company’s credit and accounts receivable portfolio.
Develop, implement, and enforce credit policies and procedures.
Review customer credit applications and recommend appropriate credit limits.
Monitor outstanding accounts and ensure timely collection of receivables.
Prepare and submit regular accounts receivable, credit, and aging reports to management.
Follow up on overdue accounts and coordinate collection activities.
Assess customer creditworthiness and identify potential credit risks.
Monitor credit exposure and recommend appropriate actions to minimize financial risk.
Work closely with Finance, Sales, and other relevant departments to ensure effective credit control.
Reconcile customer accounts and resolve discrepancies in coordination with relevant departments.
Ensure proper documentation and authorization of credit transactions.
Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and applicable financial regulations.
Provide recommendations to management regarding credit risk, collections, and customer accounts.
Requirements
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Relevant professional experience in credit management, accounts receivable, or credit control, preferably in the hospitality industry or a similar environment.
Strong knowledge of credit management, accounts receivable, collections, and financial reporting.
Excellent analytical, negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple accounts and priorities.
Proficiency in MS Office and financial/accounting systems.
Ability to work independently while maintaining effective coordination with other departments.
