Job Description
- Location: Wesen (Around Hillside School)
- Salary: Negotiable / Based on experience
- Education & Training: TVET Level II/III Certificate or Diploma in Food Preparation / Culinary Arts (or equivalent culinary training).
- Professional Experience: 3–4+ years of practical cooking experience in commercial kitchens, hotels, or large-scale catering operations.
Requirements
- Core Competencies & Requirements:
- Station Mastery: Solid proficiency in hot/cold line cooking, prep work, bulk food preparation, and standard recipe adherence.
- Food Safety & Hygiene: Strong understanding of HACCP standards, correct holding temperatures, cross-contamination prevention, and sanitation guidelines.
- Speed & Consistency: Ability to maintain portion accuracy, plate presentation, and quality consistency during high-volume rush periods.
- Team Coordination: Effective communication with Commis chefs, Stewards, and the Head Chef to manage prep lists and stock rotation (FIFO).
