Job Description
Major Duties:
Under the supervision of Global Director General, the CRM Manager is mainly responsible for retaining good relationship with all stakeholders including governmental organization, donors, etc. for fundraising and success of implementation of the planned activities. S/he is also responsible for the overall direction and coordination of resources mobilizing to meet the financial needs of DPO.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Working closely with stakeholders, collect donor intelligence and undertake a donor mapping focused sectors.
- Maintain relevant trackers and planners to monitor resource mobilization performance and prepare regular updates.
- Carry out in depth reviews of unsuccessful proposals to identify reasons and any lessons learned. Document, share and develop plans to address identified weaknesses.
- Work with MEAL and Communication teams to develop marketing materials and presentations for DPO Response for external use.
- Work with program teams to identify gaps in the funding portfolio for out years and work closely with members to support the development of proactive concept papers that are marketable to donors.
- Supervise and ensure proper facilitation of project design workshops, developing concept papers, full proposals, and budgets, ensuring that high quality standards are met and that proposals meet donor and member requirements.
- Clearly identify roles and responsibilities and key actions for proposal development for DPO and ensure that there is a robust internal review process in place to ensure quality proposals are submitted.
- Ensure that all relevant DPO Response Programs, Operations and Support teams such as HR, Procurement, IT, Finance are fully and proactively involved in the development of new proposals.
- Oversee the coordination of Go/No-Go to evaluate opportunities for DPO Response with key senior staff.
- Oversee the maintenance and upgrading of the donor database, proposal tracking system, and resources roster in the team.
- Developing/improving communications procedures in appeals.
- Developing and implementing communications plans.
- Developing and implementing strategies to enhance, and as needed refine, the DPO’s brand.
- Managing the DPO’s social media accounts.
- Analyzing and reporting on communications performance metrics.
- Producing annual reports and other publications.
- Handling media relations activities, including organizing media events and developing key messages, news releases, statements and backgrounders.
- Supporting donor and partner communications efforts as required.
- Writing content for different tools (web, newsletters, social media, speeches, editorials, etc.).
- Chairing the DPO’s Communications.
- Organizing public engagement events.
- Representing the DPO’s during public events as required.
- Managing interns and volunteers as required.
- Performs any additional activities which may assigned by the Global Director General.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- BA/MA degree in Journalism & Communication, International Relations, English Language & Literature, or related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in communication, fundraising, or resource mobilization, with at least 3 years in a managerial or leadership capacity.
