Chief Steward

Radisson Blu Hotel, Addis Ababa which is centrally located in Kazanchis Business District adjacent to the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa conference hall (UNECA-AA) and just eight kilometers from Bole International Airport is looking for a dynamic, self-starter to join our team as a Chief Steward.

Job Requirements

Required qualifications: 

• Diploma/TVET Level V in Hotel Management, Hospitality Management, Culinary Arts, or a related field. 

• Minimum of 3–5 years of relevant experience, preferably in a 4- or 5-star hotel, with supervisory experience in Stewarding. 

• Strong knowledge of HACCP, food safety, hygiene, sanitation and workplace safety standards. 

Competencies required: 

• Good knowledge of industrial dishwashing systems and professional cleaning equipment. 

• Strong understanding of chemical handling, cleaning procedures and waste management. 

• Proven leadership, team-building and staff development skills. 

• Good knowledge of inventory management, operating equipment control and cost-control abilities. 

• Highly organized, attention to detail and commitment to hospitality excellence. 

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 

• Good command of written and spoken English. 

• Ability to work with minimum supervision  

• Ability to work with others, positive and energetic 

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is an advantage.
