Job Description
JOB SUMMARY
The Manager holds overall responsibility for the leadership, management, and performance of the Branch across activites The role provides strategic direction, oversees all employees ensures operational efficiency and profitability, and represents the company in to government bodies, partners, and other external stakeholders on the branch.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Plan, organize, direct, and control the day-to-day activites of the branche, and business units.
- Develop and implement annual business plans, budgets, and performance targets, and monitor progress against them.
- Drive revenue growth, cost control, and overall profitability.
- Identify new business opportunities, partnerships, and areas for expansion or diversification.
- Manage organizational risk, including operational, financial, legal, and reputational risks.
- Prepare and present periodic performance, financial, and strategic reports to the commercial Devision.
- Represent the company at official events, negotiations, and public engagements on the region.
- Perform other related duties as directed by commercial Devision.
- Monitor merchandise inventory levels, coordinate timely replenishment requests, and minimize stock shortages or overstocking.
- Supervise, coach, and evaluate the performance of branch sales staff, cashiers, and store attendants.
- Prepare and submit periodic sales, stock, and performance reports to the Commercial Department.
- Ensure accurate cash handling, reconciliation, and adherence to financial and accounting procedures at the branch.
- Address customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback promptly to maintain high customer satisfaction.
- Plan, organize, and supervise the daily sales and operational activities of the branch to meet or exceed set sales targets.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procurement procedures, and relevant government regulations.
- Coordinate with logistics and procurement teams on merchandise delivery schedules and transportation needs.
- Maintain proper documentation of sales transactions, stock movement, and branch administrative records.
- Ensure the security, cleanliness, and proper maintenance of branch premises, equipment, and assets.
- Identify local market trends and customer needs, and recommend strategies to grow branch sales.
Honesty, integrity, and a strong sense of accountability in handling cash and merchandise.
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.

Requirements
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education
- BA Degree in Business Administration, Management, Economics, or a related field.
Experience
- Minimum of 4–6 years of experience, including at least 2 years in Branch manager at marchandise Business organization.
Skills and Competencies
- Strong leadership, team management, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong strategic thinking, business planning, and decision-making abilities.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate diverse teams.
- Solid understanding of finance, budgeting, and financial statement analysis.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Good knowledge of Ethiopian business law, and tax regulations.
- Fluency in Amharic and English required; knowledge of AfaanOromoo is an advantage.
- High level of integrity, accountability, and sound judgment.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and make effective decisions under pressure
- Solid understanding of sales, inventory management, and basic accounting principles.
- Good communication skills in Amharic and English; knowledge of AfaanOromoo is an advantage.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications (MS Office, POS/inventory systems).
- Strong customer service orientation and problem-solving ability.
