Position: Battery Hardware Team Lead
Salary : 55,000 gross

Our client is a confidential manufacturing company operating in the advanced technology and industrial manufacturing sector. The company is expanding its engineering capabilities and is seeking a technically strong Battery Hardware Team Lead to support product development, testing, and production readiness.
Position Summary
The Battery Hardware Team Lead will be responsible for the mechanical and electrical integration of battery pack systems, including hardware validation, testing, documentation, and failure analysis. The role provides hands-on technical leadership to engineering technicians and ensures that all battery systems meet structural, electrical, thermal, and safety requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead mechanical and electrical integration activities for battery hardware systems.
- Conduct and supervise environmental, thermal, vibration, shock, and electrical testing.
- Review electrical test results and ensure compliance with technical specifications.
- Perform root cause analysis using structured engineering methodologies such as 5-Why, Fishbone, and Fault Tree Analysis.
- Own engineering documentation including drawings, test reports, revision control, and engineering change records.
- Define quality standards, testing procedures, and acceptance criteria for hardware builds.
- Supervise and mentor mechanical and electrical technicians.
- Ensure compliance with engineering, manufacturing, and safety standards.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across engineering and production operations.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, quality, and supply chain.
Requirements
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related engineering discipline.
- 3–5 years of relevant experience in battery systems, electrical hardware, manufacturing engineering, or industrial product development.
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, high-voltage architecture, contactors, and wiring harnesses.
- Hands-on experience with engineering test equipment such as multimeters, insulation resistance meters, and data acquisition systems.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality systems, and engineering documentation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated team leadership or supervisory experience.
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills are mandatory.
Preferred Background
Candidates with experience in manufacturing, automotive, electric mobility, industrial equipment, or electronics production environments will be given strong preference.
