Assistant Production Unit Manager-Laundry

Duties and Responsibilities

• Scheduling of production considered the installed and achievable capacity.

• Communicate requirement of raw and packing material planned to supply chain to ensure production continuity.

• Review and take corrective action when shortages are predicted.

• Work with production planner to draw weekly and monthly production schedules.

• Analyzed daily actual production output with installed capacity.

• Ensured the quality and quantity of product meets expectation.

• conduct a root cause analysis (including trending & documentation) on all deviations to planned and installed capacity

• Implement Corrective action to maximize capacity utilization.

• coach the line technicians & operators in maintenance and operation of equipment.

• Ensure all requirements are incorporated in SAP as per production schedule.

• Ensure optimal people productivity as per planned volume and capacity.

• Ensure discipline is maintained to the highest standard.

• Maintain company values in the business unit by training and developing people.

• Continually lead the development and elevation of direct leaders and staff through proactive coaching, mentoring, professional development, and feedback

• Maintain a SAFE ZONE to employees by ensuring all hazards are identified, reported and removed.

• Report all unsafe conditions, near misses and unsafe behaviors on Enablon as per Wilmar standard.

• Report all accidents and incidents within the time frame provided by Wilmar manually and then on Enablon.

• Engage with employees continuously through safety talk to create awareness

• Assure a high level of housekeeping standard within the production unit.

• Manage COGS for the unit as per company standard

• Material variances are minimized and controlled.

• Optimize production manpower to reduce overhead cost.

• Minimize waste and rework by maintaining a high operation quality standard.

• Reduce unnecessary expenses.

• Report and followed up all machinery performance deviations with Maintenance.

• Assist with the maintenance team in identifying and assisting during maintenance breakdowns.

• Ensure operators are trained by the maintenance team on the basic Cleaning, Inspection and Lubrication (CIL) of machineries.

• Assiste in the consolidation of production plan with capacity plan.

• Weekly review of performance and input to the S&OP process.

Job Requirements

Requirements

• BSC in chemistry/ chemical engineering or other related field of study.

• Minimum 6 years’ experience in an FMCG industry, in a supervisory or unit head position.
