Company Overview

Our client is a confidential manufacturing company operating in a fast-growing industrial environment. The company is looking for an experienced Accounting Manager with a strong background in manufacturing finance, cost accounting, inventory management, and Ethiopian tax compliance.

Position Summary

The Accounting Manager will oversee financial reporting, cost accounting, inventory accounting, budgeting support, tax compliance, internal controls, and audit coordination. The role requires strong manufacturing-sector experience and the ability to manage accounting operations within a dynamic production environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly and annual financial statements in accordance with applicable accounting standards.
• Manage cost accounting processes including product costing, inventory valuation, variance analysis, and cost of goods sold (COGS).
• Oversee inventory accounting, stock reconciliations, and manufacturing cost tracking.
• Manage month-end and year-end closing activities including journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations.
• Ensure the accuracy and integrity of the general ledger and financial records.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, cash flow planning, and financial performance analysis.
• Ensure compliance with Ethiopian tax regulations including VAT, corporate income tax, withholding tax, and related statutory requirements.
• Coordinate internal, external, and tax audits.
• Maintain and strengthen internal control systems and financial governance processes.
• Supervise and develop accounting team members.
• Prepare management reports and provide financial insights to support operational decision-making.
