Job Description
Mulu Pharmaceutical Manufacturing PLC, located in the Amhara Region, Bahir Dar City (Meshenti), is seeking to recruit a qualified, diligent, focused, and team-oriented Accountant who is motivated to grow professionally within the pharmaceutical manufacturing factory.

- Job Summary: -The role involves accurately maintaining the company’s accounting records, handling financial transactions, and preparing financial reports. The accountant will support the overall accounting and finance operations of the company.
- Key Responsibilities
- Oversee full-cycle of peach tree accounting and daily financial transactions for the branch.
- Assist in establishing internal financial controls and accounting policies for the newly established facility.
- Process supplier/vendor payments, petty cash, and manage inventory/asset tracking for under-implementation projects.
- Prepare accurate and timely financial reports (monthly, quarterly, and annual).
- Handle all Ethiopian statutory compliance, including timely e-tax filings (VAT, Withholding, Income Tax, and Pension).
- Perform bank reconciliations and assist in end-to-end payroll processing.
- Collaborate closely with the head office and project managers to monitor branch budgets.
- Perform other finance and accounting duties assigned by the immediate supervisor
Requirements
1.Required Education - Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Accounting & Finance.
2. Requirements & Qualifications
2.1 For Degree holders: 2 years and above experience.
2.2 For Diploma holders: 4 years and above experience.
- Prior exposure to the pharmaceutical industry, medical import/distribution, or manufacturing is strongly preferred.
2.3 Software Skills: High proficiency in Peachtree Accounting and Microsoft Excel (advanced formulas and pivot tables).
2.4 Compliance Knowledge: Sound understanding of Ethiopian tax laws and Ethiopian Revenues and Customs Authority (ERCA) regulations.
Soft Skills: Strong analytical skills, a high level of integrity, and the ability to work independently in an evolving project environment.
