JOB DESCRIPTION

Amigos SACCO Ltd., a dynamic SACCO on track to become a Top 10 Asset-Leading SACCO in Africa by 2030, seeks an energetic Junior Accountant to support financial operations including transaction processing, reconciliations, financial reporting, and ensuring compliance with internal controls and regulatory standards.    

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Process member transactions with 100% accuracy and issue official receipts

• Enter data into ERP/Core Banking System and perform daily reconciliations to ensure audit readiness

• Prepare financial statements including balance sheets, trial balances, and performance reports

• Open and maintain accounts, resolve member inquiries, and educate on products and digital services

• Mobilize savings and deposits while participating in marketing campaigns and community outreach

Job Requirements

REQUIRED QUALIFICATION

Educational and Work Experience:           

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting and Finance, Accounting, or related financial disciplines.

• 1 to 3 years of core accounting or auditing experience in financial institutions.
